I have a 2019 F350 Platinum diesel with only 36000 KM which went out of warranty in April this year. The Adaptive Steering fault showed periodically in Aug, dealer checked, couldnt find issue. This week it went on permanently, dealer diagnosed at cost of $200 only to tell me the fix to replace the entire steering assembly at cost of $4900, and there's no warranty left. I escalated to Ford Canada customer service only to be told I'm SOL. With such low mileage thought i met get some consideration but nope. And why this truck is built such that the resolution to the issue is replace the whole steering assembly is beyond me - poor engineering. Dealer says its drivable, but requires more steering effort (and the Front Collision Warning will no longer work) Questions - anyone had this issue and know of a cheaper fix or know of other avenues to escalate? i would get a second input on this one ... 5k just after warrenty? . id be making more noise about it.... maby theres a TSB on it in the system on it. im guessing you ain't the only one. i do know there was a recall on the newer trucks for a stearing thing but don't know if yours will fall under it. low miles and only a mater of weeks out of warrenty. ya id be raising hell. and the fact that dealers will LIE there ass off to get your money. the ign switch went out on her van. took it to the deaaler and cost 700 to fix. turns out there was a recall on it and thay never told her. the dealer had to refund 100% and a few bucks for her trouble. (hush money) after i went down there and made noise about it in the showroom floor. you would be serprised how fast thay do what you want if ya go there and make a thing out of it on the showroom floor. ... something else to think on ... there is alot of input from many other things to make it work. load speed abs. there could be something someplace else that is giving it bad input. with it being a sometimes thing it could be anything. .. hell it could be a tight ball joint or tierod end....
