Ok well I didn't film it, but it's on my uncle's boat in Nova Scotia. My cousin and I try to visit him when we can and do some tuna fishing. Couple of years ago these guys came along and filmed it. Check it out, pretty good vid of what I do. Current positions are filled though! haa

Deckhand on any boat is better than an office job. We harpoon them when we get them to the boat (you can see it briefly in the vid). Theres different licenses for fishing them. Harpoon boats cant have any rods on board. I fish rod and reel, but a friend of mine harpoons. I've been out a bunch of times with him...VERY tricky. Fishing for these Giant Bluefin Tunas is done anywhere from a few hundred feet off the beach to 200 miles out on Georges Bank in cooler water. When I fish for Yellowfin and Big Eye tuna, that's about 100-200 miles out in the Gulf Stream in warmer water, usually 70-85 degrees.

wow you can catch them as close as a few hundred feet? harpooning them with no rod n reel that's pretty sweet, I've read a few books about it and it sounds almost impossible, then again I wouldn't know I've never had the chance to go tuna fishing
