Good write up dude. I'm gonna be putting new speakers in and was wondering how hard it is to remove the door panel?
super simple take I think it was 3 screws out of the bottom, Pop the part off that the door lock switch and the window buttons are (it is pretty easy to break the clip so be careful). There is one screw inside there. Then pop the door handle cover off and there is one screw in there also. Now, just slide the whole door panel up and it should come off. When you get it out of the pins, twist the side light and pull it out.
