My 2 sets of leafs are from a 99 2wd F150... They step down perfectly with the stock springs no need to cut... I did this last year! Lol All ya do is droop the axle, take off the ubolts, remove the locator (centerbolt) slip the leaves in, and put your knew locator bolt in and put it all back together... You can get new locator bolts at the parts stores, they come like 12" long so ya just cut em
I used two out of each f150 pack and I used the two(one in each side) that we took out of a trailer a while back because it rode to stiff... i didn't have to cut them down,they all were different lengths I'm happy with it! how much more could it have upped my towing weight in the bed?
Just by lookin at the shackle, they should be an 3/16" ish and mine were thinning out due to rust on em, (common in salted areas which is why Ford coats em now) I hit a drain cover and thought I flipped it haha nope it was my leaf pack slammed into the underside of the bed. No harm done, got 2 new shackles and that's when the boys at Ford said they changed em for that reason
Nice! Looks good!! How much lift did ya get? I got 2 ½" the first one I got 2" like a year ago, then when Mike took too long to pay for shipping on the other set haha I slapped the others in over the summer and got another ½", that one only lifted the pack off the very bottom leaf + ⅛" so now that bottom one is like an overload
Yours are probably fine... the salt up here eats everything, I sand everything down underneath and paint it once a year to combat this crap haha my truck looks southern under there but its a lot of work to keep it that way
