fuel mileage experiment

mine has 185,xxx and it had 90,xxx when i bought it, i could get 250 -300 to a tank , but when i first bought it it was gettin 400 miles to a tank

but plugs have a good bit to do with it, i put ngk iridium plugs and i got another 30 miles to a tank, and im not bullshittin

consider new bearings and seals w/ synthetic fluid in the rear, i hear that helps too

 

got the same plugs in my truck with the ford racing 9mm wires from summit and i saw a nice jump up in mpgs

 

yes, the best full synthetic is penzoil platinum , and mobile one, or royal purple

we have tore down 2 castroil engines in my automotive class and they were full of sludge

 

i think all the 97's and up need the synthetic gear oil in the rear?

 

yeah i tore down a 3.8 mustang motor when he ran to much boost and it had 100K on it and ran pennzoil platinum its whole life and was looking like brand new. it was soo clean in there

 

update on my plan. im gonna start off with the cheap/free mods and work my way up to e fans and redone rearend. also truck may go on hold for a while. ill still do this project but im tryin to work a deal on a sweet jeep for a dd

 

it starts tomorrow at 7! oil change, tires off, toolbox out and bedcover in, new air filter and possibly gotts mod if i have time.
