I can almost promise it was an 89-93 model. Maybe even a 94. But 94 would have been the last to have 8 plugs. I remember them cause I had a couple of buddies that had a 92 and a 90 model danger Ranger. We like to fell out when we changed the plugs on the 90 model the 1st time. :jester:

I use to own a 99 Mazda B2500 which was basically a Ranger with Mazda badges and the 2.5 in it was fine with a manual transmission dude. It wasn't a 5.0 killer but it was quick enough and hella reliable. :waytogo:

I'll say this about the 3.0's. They got HORRIBLE gas mileage man! The 4.0 was a little better, but not a whole lot. The 3.0's had great torque, but were slow. The 4.0 was a great engine, but like I said, not the best on gas.

Drive the 4 banger and see man. The 4.0 Rangers were plenty powerful, but they weren't great on gas. The 3.0 were fuggin dogs though. I would rather have a 2.5 four cylinder then the 3.0 V6 all day long. For the record those 4.0 Rangers were killer, but like you said most people that ordered em that way are hanging on to them. :waytogo:
