I really wish Motorcraft would bring out a full synthetic oil along with their synblend. That would be the oil I'd run in my truck if so. I still use the Motorcraft filter in mine, but have swapped to Mobil 1 full synthetic in it as well. Wal Mart sells the 5qt bottles for $21.00 all the time here in my area so I grab 2 and have a little extra. :waytogo:

not a bad idea. i know, I have always used the motorcraft filter, but I think I may step up to Mobil 1 in the truck as well

Take a look at Mobil1's filter as well. I run a Bosch filter on our Nissan and it gives the best filtration of the others offered for my wife's car. I may try the Mobil1 filter next. Supposedly it gives 98.9% or 99.9% coverage where Fram and other are at something like 94%.

I also change my fuel filter every other oil change. Just something I feel helps out in the long run. I may be wasting my time, but it doesn't bother me changing it that often so I do it. :jester:

Would I be better off running full synthetic oil in my truck? I just use motorcraft right now. I have 132k on my truck

Degoober you should only use motorcraft oil filters on your truck. They are design a certain way from maximum oil pressure at start up.
