    Vano, the problem I ran into was trying to remove the mirror from the baseplate. Now granted I didnt spend a whole lot of time looking at it cause I was in the junkyard and had about 10 min before I got locked in but I didnt see really where it came apart. I mean, a hacksaw and some fine skills may have to come into play.

    hahahahaha, ya'll crack me up, dont get all upset, i'm just messing with ya'll. i really do hope that you can find a solution to the tow mirrow saga for screws. i am willing to help in any way i can, just fun picking on ya till then. :cheers2: fellas, let's get this thing worked out cause this forum is capable of figuring it out. we got some smart doods on here :peace:

    Ok well this is what I came up with.. from what i've seen the SD mounting plates have the same height as ours do. If I can get it to mount up that way I will then cut off what I need from a screw mounting plate to make it look like the stock plate. Fiberglass the two together and paint them

    theres a dood on f150forum or f150online with a lifted black rab that done done all this crap and is rockin some sd mirrors on his 97-03 rab ..... yall need be hittin him up
