idk what the hell i was thinking, i posted this in the other forum...i was looking for a picture and forgot i was on the site and posted it there...moron.

anyways...got tired of my mess of wires in my engine for all my lights. Especially the harness for my running board lights. I was originally using 12 gauge wire with a wire for each light (4 lights on each side) way too thick of wire. it looked like a big ass octopus lol. each bulb pulls .33amps so 12 AWG was over kill.

I made a whole new wiring harness with 16 gauge wire with one wire running to each side of the truck with 4 quick splices on each wire. Ordered a Hella relay socket from amazon, soldered every connection and shrink wrapped every solder. Professional **** right there:peace:

if you look to the right on the table on top of the yellow tool box you can see the big red coil of wire i was originally using for the wiring..

here's what the engine looked like when i swapped out the old harness for the new (it looked a lot worse but my dumb ass forgot to take a picture)

here's what it looks like now. i think it looks a lot better than before. all wires have been rerouted.

also ordered some post extenders from amazon for $5.00 with free 2 day shipping for prime members. they make the wires to the battery look a lot cleaner

Looks good but there is still room for improvement. Auto Zone sells a fuse box with 6 slots to add accessories. You could run one wire from batt to the new fuse block, then run all those other wires to it. Makes for a clean installation.
