    Volkswagen TDI FTW!

    Hey golfer, golfer, golfer, swing!
Them golfers have tallied up more miles driving an electric vehicle than all the
    "big" auto makers combined.

A high school student in this area bought an old school import, an electric golf cart, made an adapter plate for the electric motor to manual transmission for less than $1,500.
The car goes over 200 miles on an overnight charge of the 48 volt golf cart battery bank.

Makes the multi millions "big" auto manufacturers spend on R&D for one electric car model seem ridiculous.
"You don't think they really spent $500 dollars on a hammer do you?"

I can honestly say I'll never buy one. If it don't have a gas burner or a diesel my name won't be on the title.....just like a mini van. I don't do mini vans :puke:

i'd drive it, i'm not a tree hugger, but i do beleive in taking care of things, any chance i have to do something green i'll go for it

and PSD, i completely beleive that, was thinking about doing it to mine, his probly only goes around 35 mph though, what i'm lookin at for my escort will go 60 miles on a charge at 70 mph, more at slower speeds, but it will cost me around $5000 to do it, but still significantly less than the big auto makers

we dont have electric cars because they don't want us to have EV's, hate to say it but GM did it already with the EV1, and they ordered to have every single one to be destroyed

i like this one a little better tho, 125 mph, 200 miles to a charge, 0-60 in 3.7 secs
