Anyone else think we'll hit $4.50+/gal of gas this summer?

In my own imaginary world, where. Respect for wome
So w/ a barrel already above $100 from the start of this Libyan uprising, there are talks that we can easily exceed '08 gas prices. Gadhafi has stated that if the uprising doesnt stop, he's going to order the destruction of all the oil production plants. Now, why would this be important? Libya is the 12th largest exporter of oil, and among the top 5 to Europe. If Europe has to compete for inexpensive but good quality oil else where, the Worlds prices go up.

Another thing to watch is how this "Uprising Plague" is spreading. Bahrain has had its share of protests already. The Saudi Kings are attempting to keep things calm in S.A. by releasing political prisoners, giving greater benefits to the people, etc. Saudi is key to watch. It produces 9% of the worlds oil. Thats more than 2x the 2nd leading producer. If things take a turn for the worse in S.A., the gas lines of the 70's will look like NOTHING...

Thanks for lettin me rant on just one of the many "serious" topics i read about day in and day out. i mean, i just aint all

Amen to what you said brother. You said i just as i would say it.Yet when i talk about it to some ppl around here, they don't believe me.Hmmm maybe they need to.Also don't help that our wall street ***ups are getting scared and that also helps to push oil prices up.Glad to see me and you think about the same issues.

And 2008.Don't you mean 2007.Thats when i got my truck and gas was at 4.57 by me.Thats why i basically walked out of the dealership with my truck cause i used the gas prices as leverage. It worked, lol.

I seriously hope not. The gas prices by me have been rising slowly lately. I dont want it to take over $100+ to fill up my truck again
