So, rather than do one thread at a time with each mod, I figured I would do as Tunaslayer and keep it all together. First thing I did was upgrade the head unit. I put in a Kenwood KDC-X994 After having that for a couple days, I was messing around with the bass boost and managed to blow my factory 8" sub. I was planning on replacing it anyways, but it just came sooner rather than later. In it's place is now a bassworx box (custom made for our trucks), 2 hertz energy 10" subs, and a Hertz Power 900W amp (no pics yet, i'll add later) Next up is a set of Bilstein 5100's for the front and rear. The front will be set at max lift, and depending on how I like the looks, I might go with an AAL afterwards. They arrived 2 days ago, but I've been stuck in a hotel room for work since Wednesday, and will be here for another 2 weeks so It'll be a while before I get to install them. But in the meantime, my brother sent me a teaser picture After the shocks are installed I'm going to be getting a set of Wheels and tires. 33" Nitto trail grapplers, and I'm not sure on rims yet. I'm thinking Incubus Recoil. Potentially 17x9, and I don't know about what backspacing i'll need either. Somewhere around 5? I have a few other things planned, but they'll be a while down the road. So I'll wait until then to post them up.
^^ Thanks dude. I just realized I completely forgot to actually include a picture of the truck. ha ha, oops. Anyways, here it is. 2004 Lariat 4x4
I'm gonna keep it at a level (and AAL potentially) for quite a while. Someday (a long way) down the road I want to turn it into a trail truck and put at least 40s on it (mild lift+cutting fenders), along with a whole wack of other doodads. But that is a looooonng ways away. ha ha
When I did my leveling kit, I first put my 2" AS leveling kit on and didn't like how it sat a little nose-high. So I put on the 3" AS rear block and my 5100 rear shocks and that fixed it for me. You'll have to see how your truck sits with the Bilstein's cranked all the way to figure out the rear. I have pics if that may help you decide what you want to do. Looking good man! Some nice plans you got for your truck.
