Ok, first of all, sorry in advance for the long post. Second, that 21K number is not correct, sorry for that. I thought it was something close to that and wasn't trying to mislead anyone. I'm not a lying or arguing type person, as like some other people. I think you guys have an idea of the person in particular I am referring to. :jester: So after some calculations, here are some real numbers and paperwork. Still a great deal IMO. My boss is still kicking himself for not buying one also the same day he took me to get mine.

I have to either find the original purchase copy or try to take a picture of some $ numbers from the paper I found from refinancing. It was a copy and fit to page so it doesn't load big enough online to be legible.

    Cash sale price: $28,194.36
    Ford rebates: $7,500
Final cash price w/ tax, title, fees, etc.: $22,894.15

    Now my price
    Cash price: $28,184.36
Down payment: $5,000 cash ($12,500 including the Ford rebates)
    Tax, title, etc: $2,209.79
    Total financed: $17,894.15

    So far I've paid:
3 months payments (while financed with FMC as a result of receiving one of the rebates - $328.76/month): $986.28
    27 months payments (refinanced w/ a credit union for 3% lower rate than FMC - $295.10/month) $7967.70
    Down payment on truck: $5,000
    Total to date: $13,983.98
    Balance on loan: ~$11,800
Total cost of truck as of right now without any future interest: $25,753.98

You didn't miss it by much :jester: I guess those folks were ready to move that truck! You would have never got that price in TN .

Yeah, you'd never get that truck here for that price either. That lot was ready to move a truck is all. The truck from the OP was at the same lot I bought my 2002 from. They kept all their 08's at full price when they loaded the lot with the new 2009's. A salesman told me they weren't worried about getting rid of them quick. The way they looked at it was they'd sale them to people either way. They sold several to people that didn't care for the looks of the 09's and were wanting a new Ford truck. :jester:

Great deal on the STX though. :waytogo:

I agree. I was the same way, I didn't care for the new look of the 09s but they have grown on my a little bit.
It was actually hard to find one because dealers in my area didn't even have any 07s or 08s left, sold out. I had to drive 45 minutes from my house to pick this one up, and the dealer had around 30 F150s of every color and option I could want. I still think that dealers should have kept some of the 08s because they knew they would sell quickly. They could have leased those out and then sold them easily for some good profit after the leases were terminated.
