    Items Needed:
    Battery
    Switch
    Relay
    Lights
    Wires and tape and junk

The relay I got from a local audio shop and they labeled all the wires for me :peace:
You'll have a hot wire going from the battery to hot wire in the relay. Put an inline fuse close to the battery on this wire.

The relay will then have one wire go the switch, so you can turn the lights on whenever you want.
----From relay. one wire goes to the high beam wire, so they come on and off with the high beams
----From Relay. Ground to the frame.
----From Relay. Hot wire to the combined hot wires from the fogs.

The switch will need to be grounded independently somewhere in the cab.

The lights also need to be grounded somewhere (I like the frame)

Use at least 14 gauge wire for all this, and a 30 amp fuse.

Crimp and/or solder all connections, then wrap with shrink wrap or electrical tape

Here is the diagram if you want to run your setup w/ a relay. This is how all my stuff is wired.

I've used this same method for 25 yrs. I never put a relay in there and I don't see the reason for it. I've NEVER had a problem.

I caught on FIRE as I rolled into the driveway one time. Got a nice lil "line" scar across the inside of my hand from grabbin a glowing wiring. Wires coating melted on the body of the truck (hot summer day i guess) and it must have found a weak spot. Next thing I know smoke is billowing out and i'm scrambling for a hose. Just explainin the reasoning to me going to a relay setup. Ford does them (bought 6 relays in the Fbox) so it cant hurt, and we're talkin $3 extra bucks?
