Copied this from facebook, one day isn't gonna hurt the gas companies especially when we have to go crawling right back to them the next day but it might make a statement, so what the hell:

    Tomorrow 12:00am at Everywhere
OKAY! WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!! Gas Strike March 10th! This worked once before...let's try it again. On March 10 if ...everyone does not buy gas for one day, it will hurt the oil companies. It's time we stood up to them. We CAN have a voice...REMEMBER "MARCH" 10th DO NOT BUY GAS! Please repost this to as many people as you can...it is urgent that this spreads like wildfire! PS: Try not to fill up the day before or after so that this day will have an impact on the companies Thanks

The only problem with things like this is everyone that refuses to fuel up for a day the following day MORE people then average end up fueling up. I'm all for boycotting chit to prove a point, but a ONE day boycott isn't going to do anything. Make a statement boycott their asses for over a week, but then the same thing happens, there'd be a ton of fuggers at the pump the following week and the point is lost...

It's a noble cause, but in the end they got us by the balls.

it's all bogus, the only way to really boycott is to ride the bus system in your town, ride your bike, or walk for at least a week. stupid greedy people

That thing goes around every time gas goes up.

It went around 3 or 4 times after Katrina hit.

If you want to fix gas prices, round up the oil speculators.

Agreed. We as a group should get as many people as we can and SUE the federal government for not regulating this commodity. SUPPLY & DEMAND should be the only driving force for this, not speculation. This is how gas prices remained in the $40/bar range until the mid 90's.

It didn't work last time and it won't this time. For a strike to actually work it would need to be no gas bought till they lowered the price to where it should be. That will never happen :Grenade:

thats what i said, it wont make a difference but what the heck, it wont do anything and the person who started doesn't think very much, but i figured i'd throw it up anyway, i wont be buying gas tomorow anyway, thankfully a full tank in that car will get me about 2 weeks

If I didn't live 12miles out of town, and we had public transisit, or at least sidewalks, I'd be all for using my bike or taking the bus. But we don't, so I'm screwed and have to drive.
