The simple approach to Air Horns.

    True. I just goy a quote on a 12gal tank and 2 480c compressors, at just over dealer cost and no shipping for $417.00. I would still need air lines, fittings and a electric valve

    Well then you got the loudest horns and you can save money on the install.

    i dont have train horns but im fixin to put some air horns on my truck....i cant wait to get them on there

    Hey West, was talking to a buddy of mine, and he suggested if I didnt want to run a on-board air system(which I do) to get a scuba tank. They hold 3,000 psi. He is a diver and does construction work. He said he has been working on a house and needed air but had no power so he used a scuba tank and a regulator. If I were to use this system I would look into the NOS brackets, the ones that quick detach, and hide the tank under the truck with them brackets so it would be easy to remove and refill. Just some food for thought, I am running on-board!

    I hope someone does it. If someone wanted to do the math on about how long you could honk off 3300psi that would be nice

    It would be around 1,650 10 second blasts @ 2lbs per blast (give or take) and that could last nearly a year if you blasted 5 time or under a day :hmm:

    (purely hypothetical)
