    the 302 is a windsor style engine.. uses same design concept as a 351W.

    main difference is the width of the block on a 351W to accomodate the longer stroke..

    351M and 400's are pieces of ****....

    ^^^yup....they run fine(351m and 400m) but they won't pull a greasy string out of a cats azz.

    ive had a built 302 in a 82 F100 also... and between the 2.. i like the 351W better in a truck....

    Thats what I'm saying also. The 302 is a sweet motor once you get above 4k rpms, but the 351 is a truck motor.
    Hot Rod did a build on a 460 where they swapped heads/intake/cams and made 500hp/500tq, all day, every day. :drool:

    my 302 i had, had heads, 4bbl intake and cam, and headers... made maybe 225 hp and 250 ft. lbs. at the wheels, MAYBE...


    my 351W has GT40 heads, Custom Ground Cam, Headers stock intake stock injectors.. should make at least 275 at the wheels and "supposedly" should make 300 at the wheels and 350ish ft. lbs...

    I have to agree. They are heavy as heck and make same smount of power as like a 351 when built rite.
