ABS light on, what should I check

    Checked break fluid it's full, break pads look good, none of the connectors r loose..... Point me in the direction

    does it stay on all the time have you tried to reset it? give us as much info as you can man and we will try to help

    It's on all the time, came on bout a week ago have not disconnected the batt to see if it comes back on
    Maybe I'll try that tonight not sure what other info to give...... All connections are tight checked the fuses just to be sure they had nothin to do with it, checked the breaks all the way around the rear could use a new set of pads not real bad tho.... I'm just not sure what else to look for

    Check the master cylinder. There shouldn't be pad sensors on your truck.

    And def disconnect the battery and see if it comes back an if it does take it and see if it pops a code

    Im almost certain they have wheel sensors. I dont know of another way the abs module would detect the wheel locking up. I would check and clean the wheel sensors. Sometimes they can accumulate brake dust and they will no longer read.
