gf is sittin in the truck, key turned no engine. i have her hold down the brakes. I flip the 4pin side open (got the 4pin/7pin on the truck now). i set the VM to VDC. put my black needle to the "ground" pin, my red needle to 1 of the turn signals = 61.2

that seemed too high. sooo, let me try the other turn signal pin.... 61.5

ok, it seems using a VM is too much for me, or something is crazy goin on w/ my system... i'm just gonna clip the wires, hard wire everything up, and we'll see how that happens cap'n.

I doubt anything is going on with your system with those numbers, otherwise something would of been fried by now. So let's see what happens when you hardware it, or take a picture of the meter face so I can see what you got it set as.

yup, thats my unit. different color faceplate (last year was dark grey) but same unit. i believe everything is plugged in as you said... however i think i needed to hit the range to get what i was lookin for. you do that PRIOR to testing correct? set range, then black to ground, red to testing pin?
