So I am contemplating getting a cover for the bed. I noticed I had an increase in mpg w/ my tailgate off the week I was trying to wire up my lightbar (still nothing there). anyways, i would like to have my tailgate always incase i feel like makin a unexpected splurge at lowes on wood or what not.

So here is what I am deciding between. I already know what my preference is. Just want to see what everyone else would pick, and WHY.

    Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit (retractable)

    Leer 700 (truck lid)

    Leather button up type

since your in Texas the leather roll up works, up here in the north its a pita when you try to snap them buttons back down.

I'd say the 1st one. It's the lowest profile of the 3.

The only thing about those fiberglass covers is their weight. They weigh so damn much and they're hard to take off if you need to haul something tall. That's why I've always had the soft covers.

not a snap cover. have you looked at a truxedo low profile cover, that is what i have and it is awesome. if you are only considering the three then the first one for sure. my truxedo has a lifetime warranty and is heavy duty velcro and not snaps.

I need to replace mine, the cover has a small tear and just looks rough up close. I'm looking at the low profile Extang. Extang covers are high quality too.

I wasnt NOT considering the Truxedo. Just forgot about it. But it really falls into the same category as the snap, thats why i didnt put a name brand, just a style. $450?
