has anyone else seen the new ford f-150 comercial that says they have piston cooling jets? im trying to figure out how these "jets" work. any ideas of where they are and how in the heck they work putting to much air into the cylinder?
Older ones had it I believe the 300 6 cyl, 6.0 and may be the 7.3 ......I know for a fact the 6.4 has it. It is a little spout that comes up at the bottom of the cylinder and spits oil under the piston to keep it cool.... Its really only needed on diesel engines due to the high temperatures in the cylinder.
i never knew that thanks west. i dont think mine has it cuz if it did it would have already broke for me hahah
