As if I haven't had enough expensive problems lately, I've now lost OD. just slipped out going down the highway with no warning. Have a little jolt/slipping feeling and jumped from the normal 1400ish rpms to 2200ish. I can press the button to take it out of OD and of course nothing happens. Press it again to put it back in and it goes in. As soon as I even slightly touch the gas though it gives the same jolt/slip and is right back out of OD. Didn't have any problems downshifting through the gears when I was getting off the highway. I'll find out if it goes through the gears alright here in a bit. I'm swinging by a transmission shop tomorrow but in the meantime I'd like to hear some ideas. Please and thanks Sent from my Milestone X using Tapatalk 2

Tranny works fine as long as I shut off overdrive. ****. I just spent over $800 replacing a t case and now this Sent from my Milestone X using Tapatalk 2
^^^ I thought low on Trans Fluid too before I even opened the thread. I'd start there since its the easiest to correct. Then solenoid. Then prayers... good luck.
Theres a pin in them that keeps them in od , my bros messed up in his screw he had , costed $150 to fix at trans shop , they have to drop the trans and fix it
Fluid was good. And Just to make things more interesting/confusing OD worked just fine when I was going home last night as well as on my way to work this morning. Transmission shop gave me the usual "you'll have to let us look at it for $97/hr" but they did mention that f150s are notorious for the od button on the column going out intermittently. Sounds like its the solonoid then... you might want to look at trading your truck for one thats not possessed next time
