saw this on another forum thought i would share

All MPG figures assume an empty truck, driven at the posted limit. One-third city/suburban, one-third, two-lane state roads, one-third Interstate driving. Flat terrain. Year round averages.

Base configuration 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, or 6.7 engine or any Cummins engine in a Ford truck ZF6-650 transmission Super Cab Single Rear Wheel 3.73 gears OEM Rubber Open bed, tailgate up 18 MPG

MPG Modifiers 4x4: Subtract 2.0 MPG
    Automatic: Subtract 1.0 MPG
    Regular Cab: Add 1.0 MPG
    Crew Cab: Subtract 1.0 MPG
Big Tires (bigger than 31.7” OD): Subtract 1.0 MPG
Lift: (3” or greater): Subtract 1.0 MPG
Dual rear wheels: Subtract 1.5 MPG
Open bed, tailgate down: Subtract 1.0 MPG
Flush top cap: subtract 1.0 MPG T
onneau cover (full length, soft or hard): Add 1.5 MPG (over open bed)
Aerolid: (very rare): Add 3.0 MPG (over open bed)
    3.55 gears: Add 1.5 MPG
3.08 gears (no longer available): Add 2.5 MPG
4” front/6” rear slam (not available for 4x4): 1.0 MPG
203 degree stat (7.3 only): Add 0.5 MPG

So, if you have a Ford diesel, SC, SRW,4x4, automatic, big meats, and a 4” lift you should expect (18.0-2.0-1.0-1.0-1.0) = 13.0 MPG Margin of error: Plus or minus 2.0 MPG

I've heard the 7.3 Powerstroke has a highway cruise "sweet spot"
@ 2100 RPM, supposed to get the best fuel mileage at that RPM.

This generally equals 72mph on my F250, my speedo is 1-2 mph lower
    than the GPS reading.

I usually get +/- 22mpg pulling either empty or mildly loaded 16ft trailer.

Shoot....+/- 2mpg I can do with driving habits :jester: I find that winter time kills my mpg more than anything. I go from 15 to 12....
