Seems like there are some guys who have dabbled in the loud department so just looking for some advice I have 1 10 in there right now but I want more. While I'm at it, I might as well upgrade everything else. I am going to deaden the doors and back wall with RaamMat I think (when I get there I'll make a decision). Here's the setup: Head Unit: Sony CDXGT420IP (already have it in) Front stage: Massive CK6 III Rear Stage: Polk DB571 Coax (already have them in front and rear) Subwoofers: 3x Sundown SA8 Front stage amp: Soundstream DTR4.500 Subwoofer amp: Soundstream DTR1.2200D I plan on running front stage passive for now. Mids will go in the doors, tweeters up top on the A pillar in some pvc (not confident in glassing so I'll take the easy way out this time). Going to get a seat lift, height is depending on how I can utilize the space under the rear seats. Subs will be in 1.5 ft^3 tuned to 38Hz. Might upgrade the sub amp to Sundown SAZ1500 or Audioque AQ2200D if I have enough funds left over. Planning on upgrading alternator to a 220. Running KnuKonceptz 1/0 dual amp kit probably. I've modeled a few 8s with Bassbox Pro and the SA8s have come out on top in terms of output vs price. Does this look like a good setup? What battery should I get?
Good idea for the tweeter pod. Optima YellowTop and a capacitor on your alternator upgrade. DB Electrical - Ford Pickup Truck 250 Amp High Output Alternator 4.6L 5.4L 02 03 7776 Suggestion: Upgrade the charging wire from the alternator to the battery.
