Start up

    Ok for 2 days the 1st start up of the day the truck won't start if I leave the key on for a little while then try the 2nd time it will start. Any idea what is causing this?

    Could be several things. fuel pump, ignition switch about take a shat.

    Do you hear the fuel pump priming once you roll the key over?

    I'd check fuel pump. When did you last change your filter also?

    Pump only has to prime about 5 seconds. If your waiting longer than that, id guess something other than pump.

    Canooter valve? Possibly a muffler bearing going bad? :hmm:

    It started fine today. I left the key on till it stopped dinging. If its the pump I would have driving problems wouldn't i?

    you will eventually, the prime in the pump is getting weak and not giving you enough fuel to start
