thermostat ????'s

    well i'm in need of a new thermostat, i see that they have different temp settings, some are 160, 180, 195, 205, now you would want it to open at a lower temp to keep it running cooler right?

    yup.....most older fords open at 160...i would reccomend that setting...thats what makes ford famous for being "cold natured".....

    well i bought the 160 deg thermostat, but one thing i forgot to consider, being its like 20 deg here, i get alot less heat in the cab :facepalm:

    I alway ran 180's unless is was a performance engine then I'd go with the 160.....

    I have ran 160 and 180 in my older Fords and they seem to do best. I usually went with 180 so I did have a little more heat in the winter

    went out to start my car to go the dentist, and i had no blower, fml, so now i get to go out and start trouble shootin

    bummer dude. I don't know how cold it is out by you, but is only 23 when I left this morning.

    No blower on any fan setting or you have just high? I bet its the resistor
