well i'm in need of a new thermostat, i see that they have different temp settings, some are 160, 180, 195, 205, now you would want it to open at a lower temp to keep it running cooler right?
yup.....most older fords open at 160...i would reccomend that setting...thats what makes ford famous for being "cold natured".....
well i bought the 160 deg thermostat, but one thing i forgot to consider, being its like 20 deg here, i get alot less heat in the cab
I have ran 160 and 180 in my older Fords and they seem to do best. I usually went with 180 so I did have a little more heat in the winter
went out to start my car to go the dentist, and i had no blower, fml, so now i get to go out and start trouble shootin
bummer dude. I don't know how cold it is out by you, but is only 23 when I left this morning. No blower on any fan setting or you have just high? I bet its the resistor
