when my truck is idling, on the inside i've noticed a slight ticking.it's not too loud like it would be something internal but it is noticeable. i was wondering what the infamous cam phaser going out sounds like or any other common problems with the 04 that i might have(already had window motor go out ) i'm not throwing any codes and ive scanned with the edge and still nothing. if the cam phaser goes out will it throw a code?

Does the tick go away ABOVE 1,000-1,200 RPM's? If it ticks all the way threw ALL RPM's it's cam phasers. If it goes away after 1200 RPM's it's the VCT sensors.
