I have an '05 Screw 5.4L with a towing package and have been thinkin about getting a travel trailer and doing some camping. But i also have what I think is a 6 inch fabtech suspension lift and 35 inch tires. So will the lift and the tires affect my max towing weight? Thanks

I wouldn't see it making a major difference that would be noticeable.

with stock gears and 35s, yes. It will put extra strain on everything an dog down the motor. thats if you were pulling like a camping trailer or something, small trailer should be fine.

What size TT are you looking at? We pulled a 26' with my dads old 05 5.4. And it pulled it pretty good. But in your case, the bigger tires are going to make you rather unhappy. Gas mileage will probably see single digits too. I would regear if you plan to tow regularly.

regearing would be a must in my book to get some of the power back it. It will be sluggish while towing but it will tow it.

Yes it will effect your max towing weight.N with those 35's and stock gears,ur tranny will wine pushing that extra weight of your 35's and the higher center of gravity from yer lift.

Like all has been said, regear.Ur tranny thank will you for it.Or if you can't afford to regear right now.Atleast get a tuner and shore up yer shift points and firmness for yer tranny.Hell even change your torque converter settings abit with a tuner.
