So I got my truck back from the mechanic shop today. I had new plugs and wires installed. Now my 97 4.6 4x4 runs like a top. I don't think the price was bad either. I paid 110.00 for Autolite xp plugs and Standard ignition wire set. I paid 240. for the labor getting them installed. The best part is no misfire and no CEL. The mechanic said the plugs were not that bad but the wires were junk. I have had truck for a year and a half. This is the first time I had them changed, so I consider myself lucky.
