Ok well awhile ago i told you all about my grandpa's 04 ranger with the 4.0 v6. It was shifting hard and like skipping. when ya romped on the pedel it would shift first second third drop back into second real quick then back into third then be fine. we replaced the trans fluid and filter and the fluid was dirty but the magenet and filter was pretty clean. no metel parts. It has about 61,000 on it. 4-wheel drive and we believe it was used as a plow truck at one time. Any ideas on how to fix this problem would be a great help. Not real sure but there is a shift module that controls that stuff that might be going out. Get on TheRangerStation.com and they could help you out faster on the rangers.
