This is a good thread! Gives me a place to list what you will need instead of the pm's.

If it was me...I would just find a used 5.4 on the cheap and build it up...

BUT if you want to build yours......I will start posting as I think of what you will need.

5.4 block, crank, pistons, rods, oil pump, Timing chains, PI (4 thread) heads, intake, TB, harness (may work not for sure on that)...I'll post more as I think of it....PS I have all but the timing chains and heads (the heads I have are shot).

My block is .030 over though...

If thats all your gonna do, i wouldnt worry much about it. The 5.4s will suck a little more gas, but if the 4.6 moves what u have along now, just moderately build one of those. 5.4 if u do plan on s/c it when you do it. or just do a L swap

okay the thing is that this will be in the future possible a good long while. So If I do 5.4 it would be ported PI heads with maybe some mid rpm cams and normal power adders. If 4.6 I may do Custom grind cam for low end torque and ported PI heads and some new internals with maybe a SC.

tyler if you keep thinking your engine is gonna quit on you then it will, have some faith in your ford man, these trucks run for lots longer than 200k, yours is just broke in, get it out of your head that you are gonna have problems soon.
