I think it looks pretty bad a**,it pulls it empty decent...but being as heavy as a trailer as it is it takes quite a bit of power to move it when even empty ,ill give it credit for having a 4.6 w/5speed with 35's and stock 3:55 gears. I'm looking for input on either converting my 4.6 to a 5.4 or build my 4.6,I do a fair amount of trailer pulling so keep that in mind,Ik I should get gears, but id rather do something with the engine first,I only seem to be low on power starting off with the gooseneck and a load after I hit 2000-2500rms Its smooth sailing after that

If you don't change your gears that truck will wear out fast. Looks good tho :waytogo:

i was thinking this when reading is previous statement, before even seeing yours. gotta get gears man. a set of 4.30's (i assume you are rollin on the 8.8 axle, 28 spline?) will make the truck feel like you have a 3.73. this is the combo i have: 4.6, auto, 35's, 4.30.

Now, if you are going to upgrade the powertrain, i say build the 4.6 up rather than convert. you'll need a new ecu, then tuning, and for what that will cost to make the 5.4, you can dump that on a new top end kit for the same price and have a balls 4.6.... but do the gears man
