5'' rcx lift w/35's made homemade hitch to pull gooseneck 4.6 5speed

    28spline or 31spline are the options. the 31 spline is for the HD series. atleast thats the case for the 8.8 in the 04-08. i don't know if there is a difference on the 97-03 8.8, but i don't see why there would be but who knows.

    why go w/ 4.56 on 35's? that will actually be an oversized gear for those tires, therefore you would be doing as much damage to your powertrain runnin oversized gears, as you would undersized gears.

    (New Tire DIVIDED BY Orig Tire) TIMES Orig R&P = New R&P

    (35/30)*3.55 = 4.14
    (35/30)*3.73 = 4.35

    Note: Most 2wd trucks come w/ 30" tires combo from the factory, where as most 4wd come w/ a 32" combo, so keep this in mind when factoring for your new R&P.

    i thought 4.56's were good for 35's and anything over a 35" tire you go with 4.88's

    The FX4 package comes with a 32" tire and usually a 3.73. The XLT and STX comes with a 31 (or maybe even a bit less) and usually a 3.55.

    factory 2wd tires are 245's which is like 30.7?

    I'd say get 4.56 too, cuz you definitely tow lol. Then build your 4.6 with as much mustang stuff as possible

    Depends on the tire aspect ratio.

    245 is the width.

    coming from the one who uses daddys truck to pull a 16'' car trailer to pick up a simple roll bar :jester: :flipthebird:
    it is a homemade hitch that i made myself I had to test it out. .

    my xlt has 373 and came with 255's but its also a 4x4
