My SEL came on about a week ago, and I finally hooked it up to the computer at work today and it was "P0705"

I got it from my work (Ford Dealer) for $49 with my discount, otherwise I think it was around $80. It's pretty simple to replace, it's located on the front of the tranny on the drivers side. There's a plug on it, and then 2 bolts. Put the truck in neutral before you remove it. On the new part it shows a line where neutral is so you gotta have that lined up. Unhook the plug and remove the 2 bolts. Then you have to pry the old sensor off. When I unplugged mine, water was dripping out, so that's probably the reason it went bad. The tranny was from a junk yard so I'm not surprised. Once you put the new sensor on, try to start the truck. If it doesn't start, it isn't lined up correctly, so just loosen the 2 bolts and move it one way or the other, then try again.

I wouldn't consider myself a mechanic at all, and I was able to do it, so anyone should be able to lol.

Mine took a lil longer, cuz it wouldn't come off, finally I got the big piece off, but the bushing was still stuck on there. Took a few minutes playing with it and it came off. But yeah, it really is a simple job, I would never pay to have someone else do it.
