just ordered one, should be in monday. just wondering who is running one on the 97-03s and where/what you have everything set on for the best results... and its a truck, not trying to turn it into a race car just looking for for the best solid overall power, towing, and fuel economy..

how do ya like it overall? i got a superchip flashpaq for $150 and used it on my red f150 but i let it go with the truck when i traded.. i paid $200 for this edge evo and hope i like it as much, pretty excited about being able to mount it on the dash and be able to moniter different things just hope i get the same performance improvements as i did with the superchip cuz that was night and day on the red 4.6 i had..

evo came in today and man was it doin some funky ****, 1st time i plugged it in i programmed it to the specs you listed above to the T, fired the truck up and my idle was scary bad it would jump from 500-1200 without touching the gas, up down up down up down. so started over and reprogrammed it the exact same way fired it up and was normal smooth idle. drove it was very impressed with the power increase only drove about a mile down the road and back. came inside for about an hour then went back out and was tinkerin with it some more adjusting some things then i program the new "tune" and fire the truck up and the shitty ass idle is back, did this about 5 tries of reprogramming and each time it had the rough ass JUMPY idle. each time programmed the same and the finally on the 6th try of reprogramming it i start it and its fine again??? drove it back a mile down the road to the store and all is fine can def feel a power increase time will tell mpg difference.. ANYYYY IDEA WHAT WOULD CAUSE THE EDGE TO GIVE ME THE SCARY JUMPY IDLE ONE TIME I PROGRAM IT AND NOT THE NEXT??

you may want to play with the timing a little bit. i wouldn't turn it up over 2. what octane gas you running? i run 89 octane, if you run 87 you may want to turn the idle down to 1, try that and see what happens

i got it running right again now i got my tire size set, gears set, got std shift all at 2, shift firmness all at 5, timing at 1.0 and everything else set at what comes factory set on the programmer...

when i called edge for tech support the guy goes "hmm thats wierd im not sure what would cause that, maybe you should just return it to stock and run the preset tune." damn dude really thanks for all your help.

anyways when it was giving me the rough ass idle i was trying to run the std shift all at 2, shift firmness at 12,8,5. timing at 2.0, WOT fuel at 1.1, and idle rpm at 100 (of 300 max). apparently that isnt a very good combination or something cuz i tried it 2-3 times and it would always give me the jumpy rpms.

few changes and seems fine now i gota quit ****in with it i guess..
