^^ trucks good man, I say you lose the bumper and just add on to the pre-runner bar you got, add a skid plate and some other stuff and make a full out pre-runner bumper
if you do that you might want to make a couple more support braces like a true prerunner bumper and weld them together so if you do end up "using" the skid plate the force on the skidplate won't crush your whole bumper and break the couple of welds you do have
IMO for the skid plate it should be a bolt on. make it to where everything still functions properly and it covers a lot of area for best protection. BUT make it a bolt on accessory. I say that because you want a lot of protection and still be able to access your oil plug and have it drain without getting all over the skid plate, and all of your other maintence work that you can only get to via the bottom of the engine. so what I will do is weld tabs on various parts of my bumper and the frame and somehow bolt it on. not sure exactly what bolting attachments ill use cuz i dont want it to be too complicated...maybe bolt it up...then weld the nuts to the tabs so its just a scrw and dont have to worry bout fishing up a washer and nut on the other side. and on my bolt, use lock washers or nylon threadad heads.
new toy.. very iffy on it so far but got it set/programmed right now and hopin itll give me some good results..
