So im almost at 100k miles and I want to do a tune up to the truck, I called Ford and they said plugs, coolant flush, tranny flush, and front and rear diff. Well i've done the front and rear diffs already but had questions on the other three, more in particular to the plugs. I know it has individual coil packs covering them but how hard is it to change them? Has anyone done them before? Ford quoted me $320 for the plugs and $517 for the flushes and plugs...

yea, if you havent flushed your tranny before, dont flush it at 100k. i flush mine every 25k (once a yr) to make sure I can always flush it. I would just change the plugs myself if I were you to save some cash. and how the F are you just rollin 100k in that model when i got 115k on my 06? :flipthebird:

man coilpacks are cake. i havent messed w/ your model, but if its like mine, all they do is pull off like plugs do on a dist system, then remove the spark plug. when you install the new one, the coilpack just plugs back ontop of the new s.plug. clear as mud?

and wait, you barely put 7k on in 7 months? :flipthebird::flipthebird: I put 7k on in 3mo EASY. FML lol.

the plug is recessed in the head like 4 inches. use a piece of rubber hose to grab em and twist em in and out
