General ?s about soon to be F150 owner

    Ok, I was recently referred to this forum as I'm about to purchase a 2002 FX4 and I know I'm going to need some guidance from time to time. So with that being said, I hope to find this place a great resource and I look forward to some great discussions!!

    So for my first ?, what should I expect for MPG's out of this truck?
    5.4L FX4 SC, only 53K miles on it.... Any major issues I should be aware of?

    You should be pretty set, just make sure all the basic maintenance has been done.
    You should get 13-18mpg stock

    53k miles?!?!?! good golly thats a great truck!!! i have the same engine and a 3.55 rearend and get 16 mpg with 33s. so it would be easy for you to get 16+

    welcome to the site! that is a very clean truck, with as few miles as that, that is something I would not pass up
