So my truck has a problem. It spudders at idle and when I step on it, it chugs has no power and backfires.

I'm thinking it could be the fuel pump. I'v changed the fuel filter and sea foamed the intake and that didnt help

    Any other ideas?

4.6 has those 2 coil packs. 4 cylinders per, one on each side, sort of to the front of the motor on either side.

id check the wires too along with the plugs. couldnt hurt.

The older 4.6's don't have the individual coils like mentioned but the newer ones do :birgits_tiredcoffee

But I would say fuel is the problem so injectors is a good place to start....

I'd start out by looking at the wires. Then fuel delivery. My 4.2 has done this in the past and almost always it's a wire that split open or in one case a wire decided to lay against the exhaust manifold and burn up...
