ALright well i have installed a body lift on a truck before, it was a 2004 2500 when it was new. Recently i was able to start putting one on my 2002 f150, problem is that every single bolt is rusted horridly and now my front two body mounts will not let loose. I have tried impact guns , normal rachets, and even a HUGE breaker bar.....(ouch). nothing has worked the rubber just spins. Any other ideas on how to get them out. Im trying to avoid cutting them cause i don't know were to buy new ones.
Yea the two front coure mounts exactly Yea the kits does ome with new bolts but the top of the bushing wont let go of the old ones.
i had the same problem with my drivers side core mount. the bolt wouldnt come out of the metal cone piece. we tried hammering, drilling and torching but didnt work. we had to cut a small piece of that metal cone off where the bolt screws into (they have to be drilled out anyways to fit the bolts from the kit).
in class when we lifted the body off an 02 econoline we had to shot it with penetrating oil. Then we had to have one guy on bottom holding a wrench and then me on top with a breaker bar. took about 1 hours to get 8 bolts.
Alright what did you use to cut though there? Cause i have removed the rubber to find the metal center "tunnel" thing. Just cut right around were it attaches to there right? Sorry about the amount of questions, Just really badly wanna do this right.
