has anyone ever heard of this? i just read an article in the paper about using kerosene to wash your car.

it said if your car isnt too dirty to try and use just a bucket of water and a few drops of kerosene to wash it. the kerosene when mixed with water will create a wax like finish on the car and make it easier to get bugs, tar and other crap off the next time you wash it.

I wouldn't want to use any petroleum product to wash my truck. It would cut through the bugs and grease and tar reeally well, but then you'd have to wash the kerosene off...

haha:jester: yea i didnt think it was a good idea either but this guy has been doing it for years and he has some really nice old cars. He doesnt use straight kerosene, he mixes it with water.
