    It has to do with the way the amp turns on and shuts off. The turn on wire from the head unit to the amp is what gives it signal to turn on. I think some newer/better amps have something called anti-thump or something like that to prevent that surge to the subs. Mine will do it every once in a while also.

    I have a pioneer HU, ill have to get you an exact model on it tomorrow, the amp is a V power 600 watt, again, ill have to get the exact number tomorrow.

    Do you know of anyway to avoid it? ive made it a pretty good habit of turning down my radio before I shut the truck off, but it does it once in awhile while driving. really ruins a rock out session ha ha.

    How do u have ur remote turn on wire wired, and check ur grounds, they can also cause this

    Its spliced directly from the wire coming off the harness and wired directly to the amp, and the HU ground is grounded to a dash ground, and the amp is grounded to the body under the backseat.
