Bog down

when i take my gas cap off my truck bogs down and almost quits then it idles up high , then planes out normal..... what could cause this?

leaving your engine running while filling up with gas

 

It also causes the fuel to evaporate faster than normal

 

ive never had any other truck do this

 

Is it as soon as the cap is taken off or does it take a second?

 

gotta say i am kinda stumped on this one, never heard of this problem before. leave it to you bigun to have a unique problem.

Ill look into it and see if i can find anything

 

I always shut mine off. U know we have some kind of pressure valve on these trucks and opening the gas lid is the same as relieving pressure from that valve
