K, I ain't got a rifle at the moment anyways, but I hope to have one soon Sent from my iThingymajigger using Tapatalk
bats, you should go hit up your local pawn shops and find a Remington 740, 742 or 7400 in 30-06 or .270. (all are very similar, with minor differences) They are super plentiful, most shops have a couple, and they shoot great, less recoil because of the gas operation, and lots of parts and scope mounts available. Another plus is they feel and work just like the remington shotguns, and point really well too. You can find them all day in the 3-400 range, with a decent scope. They are nice looking rifles too, IMO
them too, the 760 and 7600 are the same as the 740/742/7400 series, only a pump instead of an auto, works just like the ever popular 870 shotgun. Not as common as the 740/742/7400, but far from rare.
If you want something cheap, find a Savage 110. You'll be hard pressed to find a more accurate rifle right out of the box. I have one of those in .270 in my safe and it's as accurate (if not moreso) than other rifles that I have that cost 3x what it did.
^^very true man, something about those savages. they are accurate and probably the best bang for the buck.
