This really sucked to do. It's an easy process and theres only a few bolts and nuts to deal with and it should have only taken me half an hour... except today was not my day. First off I couldnt find my 18mm deep socket to remove the sway bar nut.. 30 mins later I used a mini wrench... I whizzed through the first tire until I went to get it up off the jack stands and lower it down, and my jack wouldnt lower. So my truck is sitting up high on the jack. I couldnt do anything but raise it. I pulled out my second jack, but it was about 2 inches too short, so I stacked a few pieces of wood on it. I ALMOST got it up in the air to the point that I oculd get the first jack out, but then the seal blew and there wasn't enough pressure to get it up that last tiny bit. After 2 hours of struggling, I finally had enough and I set the jack stands under the frame, and pulled the hydralic jack right out. Then I had to figure out how to get the stands out, so I used the jack with the blown seal to take some pressure off, then hammer out the pin and quickly pull out the stands, before the jack let all its pressure out.

So after 4 hours I had one side done... The next side didnt take too long, but I was doing this one alone since my buddy had to leave. Took a little more time but done and done. Gonna get an alignment tomrrow and get everything torqued to spec.

Looks good.. So did you try to just remove the fill hole on the jack?? Im not actually sure but I would think loosening that up would have releived pressure on the jack to let the truck down.. But I could be wrong Ive never tried it..

No because the fill hole was in the worst spot.. under the lift arm. So I had risk of getting my hand cut off if I was under that unscrewing the screw. It was completely ****ed up. Anyways, I figure its a good idea to just buy a new jack. This one was handed down to me by my father.
