my truck has a superchip programmer, full intake, and a throttle body spacer with i wana say stock 355 gears. currently running 325 65 18s (35 1350 18) and its fine with me its not a racecar but it does what i need and pulls my boat just fine. im going 5'' higher this month and found a deal on some 355 65 18s ( 36 14.00 18 ) and curious if anyone is running this size with stock gears and a 4.6... im in florida so not many hills or anything like that to really make the tires overkill i dont think, just not sure if i should stick with 35 1350s with 9'' of lift or get these 36 1400 18s.. also curious if ill need to run a small wheel spacer with such a wide tire on my 18x9 rockstars (0 offset)

thanks for any answers or oppinions.

I'd be worried about killing my trans and a big loss in power running stock gears and that big of a tire man. Especially pulling a boat (depending on the size of the boat that is). I'm running 315/75/16s right now (34.6) with 3.73 gears. i didn't notice much if any loss of power. I would swap out gears. kind of pricey though.

    That's just me.

i think Big'un is running 37s with stock gears though. maybe he will chime in

Yeah big'un has 4.6 3:55 gears and 37's. I've drove it. It does really good considering...gas milage would be way up on his if he changed the gears tho.

You can definitely do it, but your fuel mileage is going to suffer, and your transmission is going to hate you lol. I would swap to at least 4.10s and try for 4.56s.

There is one in my town with 35's and 3.73's and he said he really doesn't have any problems with it. His power isn't to bad. So you might consider just going to 3.73's.

I was running 37s with 3.31s (5.4 though)... could still chirp em if I tried... just put em on an run it... I also did my own gear install later... its very simple if you have the tools, you have the 8.8 still right? Same setup as the 9.75.. crush sleeve and shims outside the carrier bearings can get much easier than that unless you have a Toyota haha
