Complete engine tune up on my womans brother-in-laws F-150

    Ya so this Friday i will be doing a major tune up to my womans brother-in-laws 2005 Platinum F-150. Oh it needs it bad. I hooked up my Edge tuner to pull some codes. Holly shiat right when i hooked it up and turned on the truck, it started to flash red. Pulled 11 codes, all banks are bad, let's put it that way. So we're starting with replacing all the coil packs, wires and plugs, then a fuel filter, then cleaning the MAF. Oil change as well as a air filter. We will see if this will make a difference, then 2 weeks from now, cats will be getting replaced as well. I will take pics of this also, and oh and the inside is very dirty and dusty. Wait till y'all see the pics, you will feel sorry for this truck, I know I sure as hell do.

    Lets just say he neglects this truck. Why, i don't know considering he don't have money to burn. Dealership wanted almost $1,500 for all the work i will be doing. I am only charging him $500.00, and of course he will pay for all the parts.

    Any tips or suggestions would be great guys. I have done all this before, but never a truck with 140K.

    Sounds like you got everything under control.

    Plugs and COPs
    Air, Oil, and Fuel Filters
    Oil Change

    Thats what I can think of, if he still has his owners manual you can look in it and see what Ford recommends for 140k mile tune-up, check the 100k tune-up also

    He'll need a RAD flush as well if he didnt get it done @ 100k mark. Trans Flush wouldnt hurt as long as its been done before. If it hasnt been flushed EVER, I would just drain and fill.

    the plugs are going to be a b!tch if they never been changed.

    same with what everyone else said.
    Also check the Serpentine belt it probably needs changed as well.
    The timing chain probably needs to be checked as well.

    Think you got it covered. Might try seafoaming the gas to clean the injectors.

    Not to thread jack.. But why is this?? Im needing to change my trans fluid and planned on flushing it to get all the old fluid out..

    im not sure what vano is talking about either...my mech recommended flush on mine with only 57k on the clock...i did a flush and filter and works just fine...
