does anyone know if a 4r70w from a truck will fit in a car? i think i read once that something on the truck and large car applications was longer, but can't find or remember where. i'm currently looking for a used trans for my mustang. one that i can do some minor upgrades to before i attempt a rebuild on my own (forward clutches are toast after 250k miles).
mustang is 98 4.6. ad just says light truck, i'll have to call the guy. if the truck is a 4.6, will it work?
Honesty I think it's to long. You will have to do to much modifying. Did around on google and see what you come up with.
spent some time today searching around and haven't come up with much. there just aren't any out of cars in yards or in classifieds anywhere within reasonable distance of me. several truck/crown vic ones though. saw a 99 mustang one on ebay, if freight's not ridiculous, i'll buy it.
