08+ tail gate on 02?

I think the one mount for the tailgate might need a slight mod

 

yes sir you can swap the tailgate, tails and not possitive but I think you can swap rear bumpers with an 08, the tail gate from a 97-03 ex-cab and reg cab will mount up too. but I think the 08 tailgate has a one mount system and yours has a 2 mount? not sure

One last question. If I do get the tailgate do u think it's almost nessasary to change the lights?? I'm asking cuz I'm gonna smoke them to all hell even the reverse light. Lol

 

haha no if ur gonna mod the stock lights i think u dont have to get new ones! have you looked at prices for tailgates?

 

yup tails bumper and tailgate all swap. i already have the tails. be warned though the tailgates run 300-400 for one from an xl (no step) and then up from there. make sure you get one with a lock so you can lock the handle to try and keep it on the truck.
